FAMILY, FRIEND AND NEIGHBOR
Through a grant from Fox Valley United Way of Kendall County, the Child Care Assistance department has implemented a program known as the Family, Friend and Neighbor Project to assist the home-based provider population in providing quality childcare for low-income children in Kendall County.

PRESCHOOL FOR ALL
The Recruitment Department administers a Preschool For All grant through The Illinois State Board of
Education (ISBE). Child care providers who are in CCR&R’s Child Care Network can participate in trainings
available in the Illinois Early Learning Standards, Environmental Rating Scale System, Creative Curriculum,

YOUTH EXPERIENCING SUCCESS in SCHOOL (Y.E.S.S)
Monthly workshops on the Joliet Township High School campuses help teen parents learn to interact and play with their children in a dedvelopmentally appropriate manner. They are provided by Child Care Resource and Referral, which also provides social and emotional support plus training for the caregivers of the teens, their children, and Early Childhood Students.
