Accreditation & Credential Funds Available for Child Care Providers
Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) has funding available to assist child care programs (Family Child Care & Center) with pursuing accreditation. Funding is also available to reimburse individuals who are pursuing a credential.
What Is Accreditation?:
Accreditation is a voluntary process that provides family child care homes, centers and school age programs the opportunity to examine their services based on recognized standards of high quality.
CCR&R has funding available for child care programs interested in the following Accreditation Systems:
- NAFCC (National Association For Family Child Care) Accreditation
- NAA (The National After School Association) Accreditation
- NAEYC (National Association For The Education Of Young Children) Accred.
- NECPA (National Early Childhood Program) Accreditation
- NACCP (National Association For Child Care Professionals) Accreditation
Once a child care program is ready to apply or ready for a validation visit, CCR&R can send these payments directly to the Accreditation agency. A Family Child Care Provider or Center does not have to wait to be reimbursed.
What Is A Credential?:
Credentials are awarded to individuals who have successfully demonstrated their ability in areas identified as critical to the early care and education profession. Through a series of indicators including experience and education, credentials are awarded to practitioners who document their competence in nurturing and educating young children.
CCR&R has funding available for child care programs interested in the following Credential Systems:
- CDA (Child Development Associate)
- CCP (Certified Child Care Professional Credential)
- IDC (Illinois Director Credential)
- ITC (Infant/Toddler Credential)
- ECE ( Early Childhood Credential)
- NAC (National Administrator Credential)
Once an individual has received their credential, CCR&R will be able to reimburse that individual for application fees.
